Google made 40 changes in its search algorithm in February

Google has been making lots of changes in its search algorithm continuously since last few months. All of these are under Google PANDA algorithm update. Google announced on 27th February that it has made 40 changes in its search algorithm in the month of February 2012.

Am waiting how it's affecting the ranking of different sites. I hope this update will give more good results in Google SERP but it'll definitely be a headache for SEO professionals & website owners.

In PANDA update, Google has given most importance to on-site factors. Quality and unique contents, reputed and informative sites are getting benefit after Google PANDA update. E-commerce sites and sites having many ads and thin contents are getting penalized.

I will have to analyze all the 40 factors of Google algorithm soon. Thanks for updating us about the Google updates.

Yes i have seen the link you put here for information about google panda and its update. Some new features also there. I hope this changes will control the spam work.

Google is making around 500 changes in its algorithm every year. But after PANDA, it's updating its algorithm more frequently. Google has already got huge success in finding spammers after PANDA & it's taking further steps to penalize more & more spammers.

I can say this is a great step by Google to give the best information to Google search users.

40 is surprisingly low number, Google tests and implements probably hundreds of changes on Google data centers around the world in a matter of week.
