Highly ranked on MSN, but not at all on Google.

Ive got 2 of my works websites ranked 3rd and 4th and 6th on MSN, for the keyword cheap remortgage. But i dont appear any where on google for the same keywords. Any ideas anyone?

I believe this has been touched on many times. Same goes for people ranking higher in yahoo and nowhere in google.

It's a lot harder to get ranked in google than in MSN.

Pretty much all new sites have this problem, MSN doesn't have a sandbox and doesn't put as much emphasis on backlinks as G does.

Yep, MSN is more focused on on-page optimisation, so old school SEO is enough to rank in MSN, optimising keyword density. But Google is more focused on quantity and, specially quality of IBLs, off-page optimisation.

Getting rank in MSN is quite easy as compared with google.

MSN considers keywords & links while giving ranking.

Google considers backlinks, updated content while giving PR.

If sitemap is added in your site then it also helps.

MSN just has come forward asking Webmasters and SEO experts on what they consider authority and quality websites.

Isn't it ironic that the one of the major Search Engines doesn't really have a clue?

Try to search my page in submit express, i got 10 in MSN, but 0 in Google. By try to search my site in Google without the link:, i found my site. So, what it mean?

My website was ranking number one on yahoo and MSN now its dropped a bit

What I did is getting some backlinks from social bookmarking sites, ping my bloga and sumit sitemap to Google Webmaster. And it get into Google within days only.

The only reason is that Google has more Page Index than that of MSN. Thus YOu have to face more competitors in Google.
