Yup I agree. From the looks of it, Google has downplayed the value of a link if it finds out that it's reciprocal. Or simply stated, a site with 60 inbound links that are reciprocal would get a lower PR than a site with 60 inbound links that are not.

Google has devalued reciprocal links and reciprocal links without relevancy are non existent in google eyes. A three way link exchange havent heard of a good one yet.

This is true. So the trend in SEO now is to have links from blogs that talk about their business or whatever keywords they have in mind.

I don´t agree that Google devaluate reciprocal links, that´s a myth. Google is trying to devaluate non-relevant links, doesn´t matter which way you get those links. So reciprocal links that are relevant do and will still count.

No, it's true. Google experts have noticed it and as such, reciprocal link building is now widely discouraged!

I think google doesn't mind if inbound links are quality and relevant to your site whether they are reciprocal or not. There are several tips for building inbound links such as directory submission, article submission, blog commenting and the most important thing is to make unique content to your site.
