1.Research your relevant keywords first!

2. Define your title tags, meta-tags, H1,H2, H3!

3. Make sure you have fresh and quality content!

For off page optimisation:

1. Find relevant directories and join them.
2. Find discussion boards and forums -make a quality contribution and get backlinks from them as well.

However, consider the use of search engine marketing rather than simple SEO. That way, you could include the use of social media marketing/online reputation management in your strategy as to drive more traffic and gain more business.
