Do forum signatures really help?

I have forum accounts on various sites and I am wondering how much a signature really helps. Let's say link to one of my sites from my sig line here with the anchor text "anchor text choice one" and from another forum I link to the same site with "anchor text choice two."

Would this help my site? I know I only have a handful of posts here, but I have a lot of posts on other forums. Just wondering how much this helps.

Also, is it a bad idea to link to let's say two of my niche sites here and then the same two on another sig? Or should I mix it up: like link to two sites here and link to two different sites on a different forum sig?

Steve peterson has two links in his signature so I don't think this forum only allows 1 sig link.

To steve peterson absolutely yes. Forum signature really help in SERP ranking but not in PR. It depends on you of what signature link will you place so meaning you can do variety unless if it is against the rules of the forum.

Yes, forum signatures do help to increase rank in SERPs if they are dofollow.

Yes buddy,

Signatures in forum always help in getting PR for your link given in signature. So try to use popular keyword relavant signature.

If forums are do follow then forums signature will help you lots in link building.

You can get also lots of traffics due to your signature links.

I am agreeing with everything mentioned in this forum. Yes, forum signatures help especially for backlinks and search engine rank. Luckily, there are a lot of forums that allow members to put signatures. Great help in SEO!

Forum signature really helps in increasing your site ranking. This can also add up on your pr if the forum have also pr already especially if it is a dofollow forum.

You can use different anchor texts using the same link in a forum. It doesn't really matter. SE bots will count them differently.
