Google backlinks

Google says I have 55 backlinks (last week it was 107). Another search engine says I have over 800 (which is def closer than google's suggestion.

I know google only lists some backilinks but how does it decide which ones and do the backlinks I have that aren't listed do any good for my placing in google?

All I'll say about Google is they don't like to reveal anything. They keep their algo a secret. They really do only show a portion of the links it knows you have, but it does know about the 800.

Also, other search engines consider different links relevant that Google might not.

Link to my site are shown by google only in the morning and vanishes in the afternoons. I wonder why it is so.

my site is listed in google but then also its not showing me a single backlink
