Some sites have very good page rank, but still they don’t have good ranking. Most of the time ranking change when Google changes their algorithm. I think it’s better if you optimize your site for the keywords that you are interested. It might help you to get a better ranking.

PR is more concerned with the rate a website is getting refreshed often and is not going to help in ranking so much.

I think one should forget about the PR and try for the best possible ways to get one-way back links from the relevant sites. It could solve the problem.

Its not sure that good PR gives you good SERP.For good SERP you have to optimize your site for the certain keywords.

I don't focus on my RP but the important for me is the SERP.

PR has nothing to do with your SERP's rankings.. So if you want to be on top to your targeted keywords I advice you to have it as your anchor text..

It is not sure that a site with good PR will get good rankingit depends on how you have optimized your keywords and the contents of your site.
