Are there significant differences in different SE algorithm

I have started SEO on one site for 4 months. And many hot keywords has reached the first position on Yahoo and Bing. But I still hard to find the position on Google. This result caused a serious blow to the team.

Does Google's algorithm is very different from other search engines?

How can I find my way?

Search engine algorithm differs. Maybe you can start reading at Google's guideline to see how they rank websites. Start with Google SEO starter guideline..

Google includes pagerank as one of ranking factor, but not other search engines.

yes, they are different.... try to analyze the back links back links in google and the back links you got in yahoo and bing then conclude....

As far as I can see, Google seems to give more weight to a site's linking portfolio and criteria like the age of the domain whereas Yahoo and Bing for example put more of an emphasis on elements such as on-page factors and keywords in the domain name.

Google algorithm is totally different from yahoo and bing. Google always looks unique and informative content in your site. Also the places from where you are getting links are also important.

Yes, it is the fact every Search engine have different algorithm. Try to get some good quality backlinks to rank well in google.

Google's PR algorithm is mainly based on anchor text. Google based website rankings through a lot of elements. Nowadays, Google has already done a lot of tweaking to lessen the spam although out the web. Yahoo, Bing and other search engines also had their own algorithms to determined rankings.

Yeah, that's true. The biggest weight that Google consider is the incoming backlinks from other websites. And the higher is the quality of the site linking to you, the heavier will be the benefits for your website.
