Black hat
Black Hat search engine optimization is customarily defined as techniques that are used to get higher search rankings in an unethical manner. These black hat SEO techniques usually include one or more of the following characteristics:

* breaks search engine rules and regulations
* creates a poor user experience directly because of the black hat SEO techniques utilized on the Web site
* unethically presents content in a different visual or non-visual way to search engine spiders and search engine users.

Yellow hat
I dont know about yellow hat. Sorrryyyyyyy

White hat
In search engine optimization (SEO) terminology, White Hat SEO refers to the usage of SEO strategies, techniques and tactics that focus on a human audience opposed to search engines and completely follows search engine rules and policies. For example, a Web site that is SEO optimized, yet focuses on relevancy and organic ranking is considered to be optimized using White Hat SEO practices. Some examples of White Hat SEO techniques include using keywords and keyword analysis, backlinking, link building to improve link popularity, and writing content for human readers White Hat SEO is more frequently used by those who intend to make a long-term investment on their Web site. Also called Ethical SEO.

White Hat SEO is merely effective marketing, making efforts to deliver quality content to an audience that has requested the quality content. Traditional marketing means have allowed this through transparency and exposure. A search engine's algorithm takes this into account, such as Google's PageRank.

Don't use black, yellow or any color (excluding white :P ) hat techniques because they are not safe. Unleash you want to ban your website from the search engines and you want to loose your main traffic source (usually search engine is the main traffic source for estabilished websites) you better keep your website away from these techniques because they can improve the ranking "magically" but after the search engines find out (and they have their own techniques to find out so they will find out sooner or later) your website will be banned forever and it will be blacklisted. Use only white hat seo techniques, even if they "work" slower they still can bring you good ranking and your website is safe from being banned.

Black hat technique gives you the higher no of keyword ranking in very few days.
There are certain ways to do it which are not official.
As all of us know that seo is slow process.
So it will take some time to improve the ranking.

There are only two terms black and white.
I don't no about yellow.
If any one know plz tell me.

White seo is process which generally people follow.
Black hat process will give good initial result.
after some time search engine ban that site.

Simply, black hat is the manipulating of search engine rankings but against the search engines' TOS , because it violates the rules it may suffer to some consequences or probably might get banned. While, white hat is the opposite of it.

Yellow hat... doesn't heard of it yet. ??
