Difference between http and https?

Post by infoway »

Hi, friends. I have a question. I saw both 'http' and 'https' in different web address. What is the difference between these two?

I have also noticed Url with and without www extensions. How come this is possible? Why this?

Hi.....
Both Http and Https are responsible for the transmitting and receiving data across the Internet. The Basic Difference between Http and Https is the default port, which is 80 for http and 443 for https and Https is more secure than http.

HTTP stands for HyperText Transport Protocol.HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket Layer.http is cleartext while https is encrypted using SSL.HTTPS connections are often used for payment transactions on the World Wide Web and for sensitive transactions in corporate information systems.

Https protocol used for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). HTTPS is used between client and server. Another useful protocol is SHTTP. The two individuals will be allowed to safely connect. Personal relationship will save. This will save both parties the communication channels they used to be SHTTP.
