Why google shows different ranking while checking on separate PC's?

One client told me he sees ranking at first position. I had to check this and seen obscure result that this URL is even at second page. Is this usual as we are maybe in different town but the same GEO country.

Weird. You can only get different results if you're from different geographic locations. Where are you from? It might be because you're using a different Google search engine. Aside from Google.com, Google also has other extensions.

Google run different algorithm on different regions and geographic locations, there are even difference when you are logged on on your gmail account and not.

You are getting different result because you both have different data centre.You can check exact result through Google Preview tool.It will shoe you town wise exact result.

If you are accessing that page often on a computer that google give preference to that site

I dont have much knowledgr in that but from my point of view as google has its databse in distributed manner, because of that it has different results for different users according to their location..
