It's not about the domain extension of the site but the whole site itself. SE algorithms are getting smarter so using fake domain extension won't work anymore. Ex. if you use .org where your site is not an organization at all, SE will give less reputation for your site. They will not favor any extension, as long as these sites have legitimate contents, they can rank well.

Its doesn't matter .com and .com/. Important is what type of content you have on your site and how you optimize your website.

As others have mentioned, the TLD has no effect from an SEO perspective. All other things being equal, a .net site will rank just as highly as a .com. The on-page and off-page factors are what you should be worried about -- not the TLD.
With that said, there are a few other considerations. First, you do want an intuitive URL structure. Specifically, you want human-readable URLs that are meaningful and thematically relevant, and your links should be relatively shallow (i.e., not too many clicks away from the root). Also, you should keep psychological factors in mind. Although the TLD has no SEO impact, most people are conditioned to type in a .com by default. So... if you're relying on people to make direct contact with your site (i.e., they won't be following links), a .com is more valuable.

An SEO audit is the first and most important component of any SEO project.

You can create RSS page, put it on the search engines other than Google, that's how good I still use site map standard, are also important for the search engine index, combined with social networking will give you high efficiency.
