According to free online dictionary twitting means To taunt, ridicule, or tease, especially for embarrassing mistakes or faults. I guess we are cleared now.

Twitting faster than text messaging. Twitter is text messaging in a sense, a universal system. Your "followers" to all (ie, people who subscribe to their Twitter feed) can broadcast or just send a direct message. This will help you keep up with what people are talking to.

it's related with Twitter. When you update something on Twitter, the activity is called Twitting. Your followers are called Tweeps.
