Don't get too concerned if your forum posts aren't showing as backlinks forthey can still generate traffic to your site. Ranking is more important.

You must be careful when posting in "nofollow" forums.

In this forum, I don't know. I think you should have at least 10 posts? Other forums requires you to make 50 posts or more.

The key is to write quality posts and articles, which will be useful to others. One liners or things that do not contain useful information will not help you.

It is definitely tedious work and requires time and effort. For every backlink you gain, you may lose two if the site owner drops you. I must admit that I hate link building but it is a necessity.

Good luck

It depends on two very important factors. #1 If the link you are leaving is indeed a do follow link. #2 If the webpage that you have left a link on has been spidered yet.

Some backlinks can take as much as 90 days to show up. If you leave your link on a high PR page it can show up in a day or show. It really depends on how how the site gets reindexed.

It's the same thing as mine. Google only shows a few backlinks every time I checked it. But it doesn't mean that you're in a wrong track. just continue to build links.

Check your back links in Yahoo Site Explorer. Google doesn't count all the back links. Check it and then decide further. :)

Forum posting is one of the effective ways in gaining backlinks and we can also share, post some useful content to clarify some things in the thread. The signature in every thread will be your site's representative to other members and visitors.
