Link Exchanges

Post by ScottsdaleHomes »

It seems like Google is really cracking down on link exchanges. I'm pretty new to all this and was wondering if it is worth doing reciprocal linking anymore since it really is a way to elevate your site in the rankings. Is it better to go with something such as contectual links, or avoid it all together.

Thanks

Where did you find the information related to "Google cracking down on link exchanges"? There has been a great deal around the net on this, but nothing concrete. Regardless, links work well for traffic. The single best option for search engine rankings is content. I recommend focusing there. Good luck.

it is much better to get 1 way link from your site of course,, but reciprocal links can be a better way in exchaging traffics coz you can get quality traffics from there!

Reciprocal links are dead, you need only one way links, try this website http://www.newwaylinks.com/

Link exchanges still work for as long as you choose your link partners carefully. Make sure you don't link to a bad neighborhood.

Better to purchase links from relevant sites which must have separate IP. If you are in need of it contact me.

Buying links?

Post by Keith Firestone »

Well, isn't that like cheating? :D
But actually, how to distinguish a good and healthy link exchange from buying links and playing dirty? In my SEO career, I've got various propositions, and I can see a great bunch of those were "suspicious" link exchanges (just to get higher PR, nothing else was important) or buying link requests, or article exchanges where articles were written just to include a link in it. This is not the way I imagined SEO when I started.
