rank above a site with PR5 and 850 links?

Easy! At least one potential answer to this seemingly inconsistent result is the quality of a backlink is more important that the quantity of backlinks. Although it is true that getting back links is essential it is of greater importance to get higher page rank backlinks. Finally google's algorithms are a mystery and to some degree it doesn't really matter. I am consistently trying to get more backlinks from a variety of sources and try to ignore these incosistent results as no one really knows all the dynamics of these two sites and don't have the time to try to figure it out. Remember PR is only one factor and a decreasingly important factor in determining a sites serps.
