Hi,

Only one quality and theme related backlinks can give you PR1.

SEs generally looking for informative sites with regular update.

If you are updating your site regular and you have limited backlinks then you can have PR1 or PR2.

Thanks
Jerry :)

Keep on building quality links for your site through forum posting, article submission, link exchange, etc. Avoid linking to bad neighborhood.

You can get P1 or more easily if you update your blog in daily basis.
If you can update it daily even without optimizing it you can have the high PR you want.

Hi,

There are not any limitation of link building but if you are looking for only PR1 then do directory submission for your sites, i think you would have PR1 till next google PR.

Thanks :)

it has been two and a half weeks since you started this thread and your PR is now 0. so another PR update and you get 1 if you do some more linkbuiding. now you have 266 backlinks. i have not noticed that there was a PR update in July and nobody seems to be mentioning it

I don't think there is a particular # of links you needed in order to get your desired PR. Most important thing to do is -- start to build links and wait for the next update.

Also - if a PR0 links to you then it won't do you any good right now...BUT...today's PR0 could be tomorrow's PR6 so don't discount backlinks just because they aren't a high PR. The future could prove it was a good choice!

Yes, I agree with you. Building quality and relevant backlinks is the best way to gain PR to your site.

Just continue building quality backlinks.. no one really knows for sure how PR is computed unless you're a dev from Google..

Very good thread

Good conversation so far, I have also found that article writing and link exchanges are a great way to increase PR.
