Back Links Confused me why ???

Dear Members,

When i type a command in Google to find our back link like
link:www.semiprecious.com
Google shows many numbers.
but when i navigate 2nd page of back link list in Google
it shows less numbers Back links
How is much difference appear here.

Educate me it please.

Google only displays a % of the backlinks to a webpage. The exact % depends on various factors, such a the PageRank of the linking site and link age.

For example, my website publicly says I have only 161 backlinks from Google, the non public stats are closer to around 9,500.

If you want to know your true backlink count from google you should sign up for Google Webmasters it will allow you to monitor your website more closely and better in Google.

I had the same experience when I used the link: on the Google search. I know that the site I work on has over five hundred backlinks but Google only shows about eighty and after few pages you don't even get to see the whole eight pages. It's just how Google shows the backlinks.

The experiment gas been successful. I tried it, signed under google webmasters, and found the exact amount of backlinks for my site.
