Google Webmaster and how it values No Follow links

I thought that webmaster only collated follow links, but when I looked at the page source of one of the backlinks to my site, it showed as "no follow". Does this mean that no follow links do have value? Has anybody else noticed this?

"no follow" is still considered backlink, but it won't contribute to your PR or SERP.

Yes, nofollow link are still a backlink. The only difference is, it does not pass pr link juice to target site.

No-follow is not considered by Google as far as I know only do-follow has the factor.

But I've read somewhere about one experiment. Two totally equal sites were launched. The First one was optimized only with the help of do-follow links the other one - only no-follow. Amazingly, both of them were indexed by Google and ranked. Of course, the first one got a better position. But still it means that no-follow links also contribute to your ranking.

Google Not consider the No follow in Increasing pr and Ranking. No Follow links is Useful for Getting the Traffic.

Basically it depends upon the search engine you are targeting. If you are targeting Yahoo, Bing or ask then nofollow are also useful but in case of google they are worthless for ranking.

Who knows if Google really have some points for quality links even with nofollow attribute. Just prioritize to aim gaining backlinks naturally..

I think no follow link is also useful, because of there may be chances to get some traffic to your site. but it is counting in back links.. we have to see it..

Nofollow links are counted in backlinks but they are not consider for page rank purpose but if you are interested in traffic then go ahead.

Google webmasters tool show all the pages that they found your link on whether nofollowed or not and the fact that they showed a nofollowed link doesn't necessarily means that the link passed a PR juice to your site

In short, try to build as much as Dofollow links because no one is 100% sure about Nofollow links.

guys, nofollow counts a lot either in backlinks and SERPs, maybe 6 out of 10 nofollow links work as fine as other dofollow links.

So don narrow our sight to follow or nofollow, but build quality content and quality backlinks to our sites.
