that's a big question, which is probably why you haven't had replies.

There's a whole heap of stuff on here about optimising your site, so that when the search engines find it, it's in the best format for them.

Then there's a whole heap of stuff about getting links, through writing articles, submitting to less mainstream directories etc.

So, basically, you got a heap of reasearch to do, and then a heap of work. Unfortunately, that's the game these days if you want to get good rankings on the main search engines.

Of course, you could always pay one of the seo companies to do it for you...
