Well, if you know the basic foundation of seo, then you can rank your site for better position. The most important in seo is the on-page and off-page optimization process.

The SEO technique must not only be used for getting a higher ranking in search engines but must also be good enough to generate ROI by having a good traffic. If your website is on rank 1 but its bounce rate is 80-90% what is the use then?

So, what I feel is to advertise your website in those places where people are looking for you. This can increase your customer and undoubtly an increase in search engine rankings.

Doing both On-Page (title tag, h1/h2 tags, alt attributes, keywords, description, robots.txt, content, sitemap) and Off-Page Optimization (deals with creating quality of inbound links or back links) is the best thing to do when it comes to Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Keywords are definitely a big deal. The general rule of thumb is that you've got to please Google because it's the biggest search engine in the world, and if Google sneezes, all other websites follow suit.
