Is there any way to tell when google crawled last on your site? by looking at iss log!

type "site:www.yoursite.com" without quotes, into the google search bar, and it will display all the pages from your site that are currently in google's index. Click on the cache link under the page, and it will show when google last indexed that page...

Otherwise you can register with google sitemap. You can see when google last crawl your site.

I've added a small script to all my pages that notifies me by email when google or any other (major) bot comes along..

You need tos etup a sitemap with google so you can retrieve all activities made by the google bot in your website..

One thing is when your site was last cached (for that check the cache of your site on the SERPS) and a different one when it was last spidered (for that the only way is to check your logfiles).

By the way, what you have to look at in your log files when you check it out is something "GoogleBot".

Sign up with Google sitemap will do. It will tell your page when been crawl by google and any page error as well.

but I do not own Google....

Anyway.... check the cache time ... I think that is G wants you to know.

or

You may use some web tools to make domain google LivePR, backlinks and index check and save it as history records order by date.

I use cache:
It's easy and it gives me close look for last visits
But its not every thing

Here's something interesting, we've noticed that Google visits our site at the very least once a week. Now we do update and change our pages frequently, so this may have something to do with it.

Well I figured out how to do it,
In header of HTTP request, User-Agent will be having string like "(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html)". The version may vary, but we can assume "Googlebot" will stay, Cant we?
