How many links does Google allow on a links page?

How many links does Google allow on a links page before it is banned?
I am creating pages with links and descriptions (Kind of like Google)
but I heard that if I have 100 links or so per page that Google frowns on this. Does anyone have an idea what the magic number is? 10? 20? 963.5?

Thanks!

There is no limit.

You need to put only as much as you can for the page to be effecrive.

You need to make sure you are making QUALITY liniks, which dont have SPAM, blackhat SEO, and drus on your site. Dont pay low prices for links, pay higher prices for more quality instead of quantity.

You should probably keep it below 50. You can see that most of the effective links pages are below 50 links. This keeps your links page more quality than most.

Yes, 50 is the best. Keep your link below 50 with all quality links.

This is all insane

Why 50? Have you ever looked at the DMOZ?

There is no limit on links. Google will only think its spam if its all This_word_is_not_allowed links and casin0s.

I read in Google's Guidelines for better rankings that you should not have more than 100 links on any page. That includes links from, say, your home page to every other page of your site, as well as outgoing links in your links pages.

I don't know what Google's reasoning is behind this, but that's what they say.

I have seen links pages with well over 100 links...but I don't know if that is good or bad.
