What is the best way to increase your backlinks?

I have been looking for the best and affective way to increase your backlinks , How ever my site is up for almost 2 years and I submiited a lot of links back but I still don't see any link back to my site. So I thought I might have missed some thing that I should know. so where is the site www.ubuysell.ca

I see that you have about 530 links back to your site. They dont look like very good links, but you have them. Have you submitted to directories yet? There are many out there and they usually give good PR. You should try to purchase some of the better directory listings to gain more PR. You can start posting on forums that are related to your site and then you will gain links with your signatures!
