I used to the Webmaster Tools of google for checking the backline building, but the report was updated very slowly, it was updated last time on dec-21-2009, do you like this?
How long the backlink report of webmaster tools will be updated for your website and how to make it update quickly? is it need top ranking?

I think the update is consuming one month monitoring before the update, so if I were you, don't get too upset for the ranking, just do your work nice and slow for a good result.

Why not check your backlinks manually? Type in "link:url" in Google search box.

Try to put sitemap. Webmaster tools is faster if you put a sitemap.
