How to Create a Sitemap

Hi everyone,

Im from holland and have been reading this forum for a few days now.
I have been managing a website for my work since 2000 (its a family
business) and didnt know anything about websites when i started. I have
learned everything from reading internet and forums like this one.

The site has been in the air since 1997 and we had a great headstart in
the searchengines. Ofc now almost everyone has a website and the
headstart we had is dissapeard

To get us higher in Google i wanted to make a Sitemap. But have been
trying to understand how the Sitemap Generator works. The explenation
on Google I dont understand and i was wondering if anyone knows a
good and simple Generator that even this dutch girl can understand

The website is www.eerste.nl and ofc dutch, but also not sure i have done
the metatags and keywords and all that stuff correct. I hope its not against
the policy to put the site of ours here. Its just a little cry for help cause im
kinda stuck with the searchengines now

Ofcourse i know this wont give me top rankings. The reason i want to
do this is because we have totally renewed our whole site. And because
Google has lots of our old pages still on there (they all have a link
to new site) and not all our new ones i wanted to make a site map, and
therefor i posted a topic here if anybody could help me with that.

Using a Google sitemap will help you get your site reindexed. In your Google account, you can look at the stats and see how Google has been crawling your pages.

There are plenty of free sitemap generators. Some are online, others are software you can download. Search Google for "Google sitemap generator".

Some of these will even submit the map for you. But it's best to do it from within your Google sitemap account.
