Can anyone give me some advice on getting inbound links to my site?

you can just find sites listed in Google that are related to yours, find their links page and follow their instructions on how to exchange links with them. Usually it just takes an email request and a link of their site from yours.

You can get inbound links through your signature from forums and links from your article.

i have posted in directories and i gotta i only have a couple showing up when i run a links program. i listed in them a couple months ago. maybe it just has not been long enuff yet. but i would think 2 months would be long enuff.

Will this be of any benefit in search engine terms. Forums would have a PR of 0 in the individual message pages.

It can help you with backlinks counts. And your site will easily crawl if you have links in the forums.

Dedicating a lot of time writing quality articles and submitting them in good article repositories will garner you links and direct visitors.

Article writing and submit it to article directories.. Be sure to put on some anchor text to information box.. and or blogging, write article pertaining to your site and make an anchor text pointing to your site.
