Is Search engine a threat ?

Hi,
Google has quick to recognize the threat to openness and innovation posed by the market power of Internet service providers, and has long been a leading proponent of net neutrality. But it now faces a difficult choice. Will it embrace search neutrality as the logical extension to net neutrality that truly protects equal access to the Internet? Or will it try to argue that discriminatory market power is somehow dangerous in the hands of a cable or telecommunications company but harmless in the hands of an overwhelmingly dominant search engine?

Search engine is not at all threat it is useful for getting the required information. so if the user uses it properly it would not be a threat.

I think, whats important is how you promote and where you get your traffic at all. It won't that be bad if you get most of the traffic in SE rather than some referring site.

Some threats are seen as competition. If google can't win, they might acquire.

I see Google's clear vision to the internet world and what they've done and still doing to eliminate those annoying sites and related from serp to discourage them. Imagine if no one doing that and the internet is full of fraud and scam? I don't think this thread is an important issue but rather a "trying to capture" thoughts only..
