unrelated blog comments, approve or deny?

Post by NiceCarvings »

Hi,

Recently installed a blog for our sign business. Getting many comments that are linked to unrelated sites. Should I be approving or denying these comments? If approved, would they actually hurt my SEO?

Thank you for your help.

if the comments are informative and won't do spamming I suggest to approve it but if they place unrelated links that would be spamming don't approve it.

Spammy comments should be deleted. Keep only the ones that make sense. :)

It won't hurt your site at if you received comments from unrelated sites... it is your option to delete or not, but I can say, it doesn't hurt at all

Depends on the comment. If it sounds spammy, then it definitely has to go.

It is better to deny those comments which linking to unrelated sites. I'm not sure whether it will hurt or not, but always be on safer side.

A good blog won't display posts, related or unrelated right after they posted, they should be moderated first before show on the page..

Do not approve such comments, it will definitely hurt your SEO rankings! Too many external links from your website will cause loss of your sites popularity.

ugh, i usually deny them :(
sorry but if you can't craft a comment that's at least related to the post you're spamming on, then move on to another blog.

It depends. If the comment is a good advice, then it's OK.

I suggest exercising your good judgment in these cases. If it's a spam, then I think you should go ahead and delete it. but if it's an honest critique, i think you should approve it.

if the comments are very genuine and related to your blog post, then only approve them.

I would like to know if there are any software that can search spammy comments and can delete them directly.
