Adwords of course will bring you to the top with out much SEO effort, numbers 2 & 3 plays important role so doing them correctly and much interesting could help sites getting into top.

Before you start to do any SEO on your site, you need to know what keywords to target. You could use one of the plethora of keyword tools out there but they are rarely accurate. AdWords allows you to test any amount of keywords you think are relevant to your site and get 100% accurate data on which ones you should be targeting. There’s no worse feeling spending months targeting a keyword for SEO and finding out that it doesn’t convert or it doesn’t drive any traffic. You can even filter out keywords that use a question mark so you can find questions to problems that your product or service can solve.

...in no particular order.

Because the topic was about the best tips for getting listed high in Google. Having an Adwords account does not help with organic search results.

Not saying its not useful for driving traffic, but if you are looking to get naturally listed number 1 in Google, Adwords does not belong on this list.

What are your opinions on sites rank well in Google through organic process? they don't have adwords setup for the site and it went well.
