Google has been into my site over 5000 times during May. Is this good or bad? Can't say I have seen much improvement on my rankings!

Maybe your trying to say that you have 5000 backlinks from Google? if that's the case then you need to celebrate! coz Google find your links valuable enough to display it from your backlinks results.

5000 back-links from Google! I wish.... No I mean the number of times my site has been crawled. These figures were gathered through my Awstats panel. Maybe I should put a bit of meat on the bone... Two months ago I started building back links to my site, which is an e-commerce site wwwdotballoonkingdotcodotuk, this was a combination of link directories, articles submissions and book marking sites. Until then I had only around 30 back-links coming from Yahoo. I now have around 260 coming from Yahoo and 5 coming from Google. The original question was designed to asscertain if this is a good indication and that will my SERP improve sometime soon?

I think its good because google can index your site often and update your site base on your target keywords, you'll surely know what the result.

Take advantage of it. It's good time to add more contents for Google and other SE to crawl and index about your site.

Is your site listed or indexed in Google? If not then you need to get it indexed fast as Google accounts for some 90% of all internet searches. Are you frustrated about it taking months to get Google to notice your site? Does this sound familiar? So without being in Google you might as well pack up and go home right now, or you could take a few simple actions to get your site indexed.

Now there are several myths about Google such as your site needs to have been up and running for six months before they will even consider including it. This is totally wrong, I have had sites that are just two days old list in Google within a couple of hours.

Okay now assuming that you have a new website and want to get it indexed fast in Google, then do one thing for me - Do not submit it directly to Google. If you do this you then you will enter the infamous "Sandbox" and your site may get indexed one day, in say around 6 to 9 months!

So if submitting your site directly will result in your site taking ages to get listed then what can you do to get indexed in Google fast?

Well the best way is to get a back link to your site from another established site. If it is a popular site Google will crawl it every few days and then when it comes across the back link to your site, it will then crawl your site and get it indexed.
