I suggest make the navigation easy and working perfectly on a side bar...just make sure its user friendly.
Also 3 column design would make it better...

Try to use internal linking in your website

One of the major factor in on page optimization is internal linking of your website like wikipedia. You can also use tag cloud in your web page, so that google cache your page quickly.

Hey guys, I'm working on learning how to make web page and I was told, by several of you guys, web page layouts would be the best place to start to get a feel for it, my problems is I really don't understand how to install these files, and what type of domain, and web service would I need to host them with, the current free layout i got has a, Images Folder Architecture2.psd, index.html, and a style.css, now i might be asking for a lot here, but everyone started somewhere, your help would be greatly appreciated.

To have an SEO friendly web page, you can use a CSS (cascading style sheet) navigational menu. By using CSS navigation, your navigational text will be crawl-able and indexable by search engine spiders. This is not the case when using Flash or Javascript. Search engine spiders cannot index nor follow the links in your Flash or Javascript navigation. Not only will they not be able to parse the information used in the navigational menu, but they also will not be able to follow the hyperlinks to other pages of your website. Unless you have a single page in your website (which then would make having a navigational menu pointless), you're going to want the search engine spiders to be able to index and follow the hyperlinks in your navigational menu.
