Google VS Bing

Post by Bizmancan »

My website does not rank in the top 1000 websites for my keyword in Google, but it ranks on page 8 on Bing. I am not banned on Google and have been there as a website since 2004. For two years I have ranked no lower than page 15 on Google. I've made no unusual changes to my site.

My question....why would i completely disappear from Google?

Chris

Competition is the cause of that. Many sites have outranked your site, that's why its ranking has dropped. You need to build more quality links for your site.

You should make more backlinks from Blogs, Forums and Link building with your desired keywords. And it will improve your rank.

Thanks

SEO is a never-ending task. You still have to maintain forum postings and social bookmark site submissions.

If not, your other competitors will take over your SERP placement and you will be behind them.

Thanks. How many backlinks do I need? I have about 15 related high-quality backlinks now?

Yes, i'm optimizing and updating my site nearly everyday. For two and a half years everything has been fine, mostly in the top ten pages...then....poof!....i was gone.

you are probably in a competitive niche and need to learn a bunch about SEO. If you make some changes to your site and build some proper links you will start going up in the SERPS

Google's is the search box affixed near the top of the Web browsers I use. And way more often than not, Google delivers the thorough search results I'm seeking and does so with expediency.

But give Microsoft props. Bing, launched about a month ago, is really impressive, in another league compared with the Live Search engine it replaces.

Google is the best search engine i use to get the relevant information and Bing is not popular as much as Google..i prefer Google as the best search engine.

Most of your competition targets Google and will leave out the other search engines. This could also be a reason why you have such low rankings in Google.

That's a hard question to answer. It doesn't matter how many backlinks you build. Link quality is the factor that counts. It's not about quantity.

Bing looks a bit sleaker and sometimes gives better results, but Google is still da shiz when it comes to search engines. Allthough, what sometimes bothers me are all the sponsored links, wikipages, youtube, ... links at the top of the pages.

Sometimes webmaster frustrate due to slow position change on Google and start making new back links in bundles, e.g 100 plus links in one day. This really cost for time being on Google but has positive effect on yahoo and bing. Also competition is increases day by day, and people now have more awareness of SEO that may costing you.
