What is SEO and help in setting up a website?

Post by markbush »

I am looking to set up a website for a new business that I am just starting and although I am familiar with the pc and the internet, I am struggling to find out what SEO is. Also, as costs are limited, can I do it myself?

From what i see as you are new to SEO, you will in that case will have to a lot of study on SEO. Search for video tutorials related to SEO and refer them. Attend to SEO forums and read threads and you should be ok with SEO.

In simple SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. The whole purpose of SEO is to optimize your website within your website(Onpage) and off your website (Offpage) to get ranked for your targeted kewyords on Search Engine Result Pages (SERP)

If you dont know anything, then you should hire an SEO Company or based on budget you can also hire an Expert who also works as a freelancer.

Hi!

SEO is the art of keeping your presence notable and significant in a particular niche on the search engine result pages (SERPs). Since its beginning Search Engine Optimization has evolved into a more sophisticated and technical thing. Its a combination of techniques nicely embedded in well crafted internet marketing strategies those are implemented through modern tools.

Seo is of two types: On-page optimization and Off-page optimization. On-page optimization is done to make a site more search engine friendly. Off-page optimization is done to compete the top rankings in search engine result pages. Since you have just started your site, you need to make sure that big search engines (google, yahoo and bing) have indexed your site. If not then you have to do some On-page optimization first. After that you can hire an seo expert or you can do it by yourself by learning it. Yes one can do it by oneself but in the start it will be beneficial to hire a search engine optimization services provider.
