Does PR still have an Importance?

We all know that in the web some people tend to look at the Search Engine Results Page of a website. They forgot the value of having a PR. Page rank is as equal importance from SERP. You could not have a high SERP if you have no page rank. This is one of the criteria that google look. Having a better PR means that you are on the web for a long time. From this, we could say that the site is good and trusted.

I don't think google is not going put this PR thing for nothing.. there is still something use of it..they are earning some thing i hope...
