i have heard from my friend saying that Google will stop updating page rank ?

Is this true ? or what are your views regarding pagerank ?

Google surely giving less focus on R update now, and that's not affect much on internet business, especially in SERP. I'm sure Google still continue those updates and doing it minor and random around..

The nearest PR update should come these days,but it didn't yet. Not sure why.

It's a rumor there is no truth at all. Google will continue with PR algorithm.
