Use the target keywords that would pretty be searched by users one t two word keywords, use google Adword tool to monitor its volume, density and competition references..this way you can get potentially nice organic ranking on search engines though the right keywords

I believe article writing and submission is the most effective method in seo.. second is link building with theme related sites and then forum and blog posting..next is social bookmarking and directory submissions..

For site high ranking factor try and avoid these point.
flash in your website design(search engines cannot index Flash pages)
Slow loading pages(Your page play big part of your website)
Dynamically created web pages (Search spiders find difficult index of pages)
Using special characters in your URL
Limited content on your pages
Incorrect HTML code

That would be quite a difficult one to answer. One thing that I can say is that you need to come up with a good strategy that will cover all aspects of optimization for your pages.
