I think profile links plays important role to get backlinks. But mostly sites don't offer link on high PR page or if offer then that ll no follow. But still profile submission is important because google indexed that pages and count as backlinks.

Depends really on how you create your profile. If you come up with one that is not that enticing (for instance, way too formal) then it is likely that you won't be attracting a lot of people to click on your link there.

I don't really know how much it affects the overall link building strategy for SEO. Although, I've already done this stuff for a couple of months now and it seems fine.

So what are high PR profile pages anyway?

Basically, these are websites that have a 6+ Google page rank where you can register and setup a profile page...
There are literally thousands of these floating around the net. When people join these sites they get their own member profile page on that website...

The benefit? Well the majority of these profile pages let you add one (or often more) dofollow backlinks. Links that have Search Engine ranking weight for YOUR website...

Now there’s definitely a fine line between setting up a respectable profile page and just spamming...

They call it angella paul links. they are one of the easiest ways of driving backlinks.
They can help..cuz they are one way links form reputed sites. But since they act like your secondary profiles on www they might carry some discount.
