There is no limit my dear, but you don't necessarily have to post your article to all article directories out there.
Just pick the Top 20 with the highest PRs, most of the time its a natural overflow, your article gets posted to other news and media sites cos they get resources from top article directories

There is no restriction on submitting the same article with number of article directories. All directory site doesn't accept the same article so no need to worry for duplicate content.

Different people have different ideas about article submission , i think submitting same articles to many sites will not effect, These are free directories and if they approve your duplicate content and give you healthy link than why not take that?
