In view that seo is only a part of what I do, I spend much of my time writing and editing articles for publication in article directories and blogs. Plus, I do constant updates to my site.

Generally, I think of topics for articles when I am not working.

For any questions related to grammer, punctuation, sentence structure, etc., I use A Writer's Reference (by Diana Hacker). It is an excellent publication. Very pedantic, but authoritative.

If the first part that is on page optimization you have completed than for off page you need to give 2 hours daily for each site in which you should do all off page activities.

Well, the basic SEO work is link building techniques.
Like bookmarking, directories, articles or press release submission.
You can do blog commenting and forum posting as well.
Just be sure to post quality and relevant content in every threads.
