Hi
I am new so I might be asking stupid questions I'm afraid
I have just used the link popularity test and it says my site has no link appearing on google.

But if I search using my domain name on google it does find some links plus my site. I have been adding my site to any page I can for about 6 weeks.
Whats going on do you think?

To check links in google prepend "link:" before the page you want to check backlink. In your case that will be link:www.diamondofficefurniture.co.uk

Using google webmaster tool https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ you can find more about your back links

Google does not show all your backlinks anyways.

The link: facility in Google is pants, there is a better one as already mentioned in Google webmaster tools that works well.

Getting incoming links is over rated, just 2 is enough if you get them coming from the right source, there is a difficult way of getting links and that is registering it in hundreds of directories and searches, or there is the easy way and get a blog linked to your site and it is done automatically for you.

I've noticed thats its tougher to get on google. while i have hundreds of links from the other engines google i only have 8. I think google only uses those with high page ranks. I have done link checks on my competitors too and notice that google pulls up popular sites.

Google does not show all the links it knows about...just keep trading links and soon Google will show that you have some.

is having 1 link in Google and also its showing links is instances...then why you are not able to see the link. but you have to increase your sites link popularity......

those test are not always accurate. just do things manually

it says for 300$ you will be able to submitte your site arount to 1000 directories. As I observed there was the ability for manual submitting. Good luck!

I agree that 6 weeks may not be enough time. Some directories that you may have submitted to may not even review your submission for months. Just keep trying to get some good inbound links and be patient, the links will show up eventually

U can not get high rankings in 6 weeks . Google give us some time ( 3-6 months) to build quality links , test our site, submit to directories .And after that period our rankings starts to show in google.
