Do you think that the age of a website matters?
It is an often asked question, does the age of the website matter? The Google Guru, Matt Cutt's responds.
This question has been banter around blogs, forums, and in webmaster gathering for a long time with no definitive answer one way or the other. We see evidence that it does seem to make a difference when competing in some local markets. However, we have never seen a definitive answer from Google until I read this article and I am still waiting.
Matt Cutt’s was asked about this topic in an interview with the folks over at Web Pro News. You can go here to read his response.

In my experienced, I believe that age domain has a good expression to Google.
And you can optimize it freely like creating many links since new sites encounter Google sandbox.

Surely age has good points, but still how much authority it has still matters...

I believe the age of a website matters, because established sites that have been online for awhile have more trust with Google. Also, Google can tell how long you own a URL for, so if you purchase a new URL, it is helpful to purchase it for 5 years or more, especially if you are in it for the long haul.

It depends. Generally the age of the site is a prime consideration as to how authoritative your site is, as long as it is updated often.
The only exceptions: A news site or a blog will have more importance on newer pages

Many of you have noticed that sometime some old age domain have more value and some same age domain have less value the reason behind this is the popularity and performance of the domain.
Old domain need less work for getting traffic.

Well certainly age of your domain matters. From what I have read when websites are registered with minimum domain length it can sometimes be a sign to search engines it's just a spamming site.
