How can we get traffic from our websites?

I am doing regular work for my website.eventhough, there is no traffic or visits to my website.suggest me???

Try to promote your site through directory submissions, social bookmarking site article sites. Advertise your site on a high quality classifieds ads. Find some social networking sites that have a high PR and submit your links this can drive traffic. Another thing is try to post on a forum posting website for backlinks. And try to do blog commenting of some related websites if you're not contented yet.
