Re: Does Link Exchange Work
Link exchange work but people often doing with adding nofollow tag, thats why some issue is passed on google.
I often found People doing this way just see one example
< a href ="www.example.com" rel="nofollow">example</a>
So check your link code after link exchange.
Also check the cache of the link exchanger page whether he place no archive or no follow tag.
If you found all this code then move away from that person, He is wasting time and want to take backlinks from your website without giving her/his link.
If anyone have more details then please share with me.

Re: Does Link Exchange Work
First of all it works. But to make it worth you must understand how you should do it.
Suppose you have a website related to cars and you are exchanging links with auto parts websites. Then Search Engines won't consider it bad. The websites must be related to your domain.
Secondly, Don't over do it. It must be one of the techniques of your overall link building strategy.

Yes you are right link exchange work, but doing with similar theme site helps in getting more weight age. Instead of doing link exchange with 0 page rank try to do link exchange having more then 3 to 4 PR which helps in increasing page rank for a new sites.probafix wrote:Link exchange work good and proper.

Re: Does Link Exchange Work
Link exchange should be done manually. But I haven't tried it because I heard that Google does not give preference to link exchange, is this true?

But it's improve to go for 3 way link exchange instead mutual linking. Google does not give much grandness to reciprocal linkking.

Re: Does Link Exchange Work
I think , now a days Google change their pagerank calculation algorithm to penalize reciprocal link exchange links.
it better to have content-inside link from post having high Page rank. that will give a good boost in serving link exchange benefit instead of footer blog roll links.

Re: Does Link Exchange Work
Yes, it do work.
Link Exchanges have the advantages of bringing in a highly targeted readership (for link exchanges where all members of the exchange have similar web sites), of increasing the "link popularity" of a site with Web search engines, and of being relatively stable methods of hyper linking.
