Google Site submit question

Post by lottobusta »

Hello there,

Could someone clarify an issue, it`s to do with site submission, with google it states only to submit the main domain name eg (whatever.com) only and not extensions. However, others have mentioned that one should add the extensions, like submit each page/category or what have you.

If you are using a multiple search engine submitter, and have the option would one just exclude google, or would one have search engine spamming issues?

Just curious.

Cheers

If you're gonna submit multiple pages for indexing, submit them to directories. If you're submitting to google, only submit your home page. If all of your pages are constructed well, google will index them all.

Submit your home page to google. It is not neccessary to submit other pages coz google will index your all pages gradgually. Also you can use free google sitemap submission service to submit your pages.

Actually I think you shouldn´t index any page to Google, or it´ll normally put you in the sandbox as a new site, for at least a couple of months. What you need to do is placing your link in as many sites as you can. The Google crawler (googlebot) will then find your link and spider your site, hopefully avoiding the sandbox. Also, if you get those Back Links your popularity will incease and you´ll get more deep pages in the Google index. The higher your popularity is, the more levels of pages Google indexes.

Make sure there are links to other pages on your site from your home page...Googlebot will follow these links and find your other pages...

Submit or not to submit

You never need to submit to any of the magor search engines, all that is needed is goto a blog that you can add some value to and a comment, making sure you add your website url in the box provided, and google and other search engines will find you, make sure the blog comments page has PR some webmasters block Google from reading some pages.

You need only submit "www.youdomain.com" to google. Other pages will be crawled by Googlebot.

There are now many SEOs that say DONT submit your site to Google. DONT submit your sitemap either. They say just verify with the search engines. Then start building links. They say this keeps you out of the sandbox.
