maybe internal linking on those pages can help and also make sure they are not duplicate in content

See the interlinking of the pages . proper interlinkings helps to index the sites fates. Also not u have joined this forum with your signatures m your site will be indexed very quickly

How can I increase indexing of my site?My website has 600 pages but in google indexing it will show only 380 pages.

When you say about 600 pages of your site, probably you didn't put them on your sever the same day. Some of them are newer, the other are older, isn't it ? Then I expect Google start indexing them from the older pages to the newer. If all of your pages are Google friendly, you should wait until Google gets to your newer pages making them indexed.

Does this really help google to index your site faster? I just started my site and also have a sitemap of my site but it's not xml. So do I need an xml sitemap?

yeah i too would like to recommend to have sitemap of your site ...

Rss feed of your site and interlinking properly ... and patience will get your site pages indexed for sure.

Build three type of sitemap: .xml for google, urllist.txt for Yahoo, .html for you. Submit them to Googel and Yahoo accordingly. I noticed if the page is not updated regularly it can be put in the suplimental index. So update your pages often.

you need to wait
use google webmaster tool to check the crawl rate of google spiders - all is normal then you are free from worry. it means spiders are indexing then finally, one day, all pages indexed

How much deep should update be? Can I just change a couple of words and it will be noticed as update?

In Google Webmaster Tools, you can see which of your pages the Googlebot has indexed (under Statistics -> Index Stats).

You can also see which pages Google had trouble indexing and then try to figure out the cause (under Diagnostic -> Summary).

There's two things you can do

You can make your pages very google friendly, you can try submitting sitemap [old school!], and you can post on forums and articles that link back to these [unindexed pages]

Either way, your page should get crawled in due time.
