DoFollow links are links that count as points, boosting the page rank, helping them go higher in the SERPs as a result. While NoFollow links are links that doesn't count as points, doesn't boost page rank and doesn't help a page in the SERP. So, DoFollow links are very helpful in effective SEO and SMO techniques.

Both Dofollow and Nofollow links are followed by human but, Google follows only Dofollow links. Means to say, Nofollow links are not harmful for business but, these links don't play any role in online promotion.

you often prepare dofollow links rather than nofollow, its somewhat good to promote your rankings better.
