Link poularity & PR prediction ?

Hi,
Can someone please tell me how accurate the pr predictors are............. my site has been up and running for about 3-4 months and ive put at least 20 hours a day advertising, promoting etc, when i used the pr tool about a month ago it said i was predicted about 5(4.7) but now it either say insuficient backlinks or 4........................ i also noticed that my link popularity has dropped rapidly from around 15000 to about 10500.

So if any one has time to reply to this post and has some friendly advice please could you tell me if the pr tools are accurate and why my link pop is dropping.

They are usually not that accurate. I was predicted PR 4 and got 1. If you backlinks have dropped it is probably just from one search engine right? If it is its prob just a problem with their reporting.

Thats quite a daunting thought but not the end of the world i suppose.

my link pop has dropped about 1500 in yahoo, 2000 in altavista and about 1000 in alltheweb, i havent been doing this for long but that seems to be a pretty dramatic drop to me....................... but then again maybe your right, maybe there is a fault and im worrying over nothing, ill soon find out.

you can estimate it from that.

If you have a lot of PR 4 you are likey to get PR 3-4

Well there are no accurate prediction tool sometimes you will be disappointed on the result. So you must focus on what you are doing right now link building.

Hi, it really is great that you work so hard on your website but please note that for a newly built website, adding many links might not be a good idea.

You can still work on your content and onpage factors but add links gradually, and also, try forgetting about the PR factor, gradually you will find out that it does not have that effect on your ranking.

The PR predictor is not accurate enough to check the page rank and link popularity of the site. You got disappointed when using the seo tool will give the fake result or insufficient back links.

I am disapointed because my links dropped to around 9 - 10000, i decided to listen to everyones advice and not pay much attention to pagerank.
