A doorway page is a page that is designed to rank for a specific term (or set of terms) in search engines. It has nothing really useful for a visitor other than the link that takes them to your product page.

A landing page is the page a person lands at your site on. It needs to provide them with what they were looking for, give them idea of what you're all about, and generally give them everything they need to know in order to make that purchase (or whatever the objective of the page is). At the very least, it needs to inspire enough confidence to make the person feel comfortable enough to want to make a few clicks to learn about your site and the product before purchasing it.
