Article submission good for SEO?
Has anyone used an article submission service to get backlinks?
I paid for 100 articles and it seems to have had a negative effect
My website has dropped from page 2 in google to the bottom of page 4 in the last week or so,since the articles have been accepted on various sites
Would google view these links as duplicate content or spam, and will the article links have a positive effect over time?

Re: article submission
We used article submission to get backlinks but not on the paid services. Usually I submitted article to article directories with high traffic and accepted article easily. Maybe the reason why has dropped of keywords, you need to submit it quality article directory like ezine, create a quality article , unique title, use your targeted keywords as in title, resource box or any part of the content.

I don't hire article submitter.. I just do it alone.. I usually submit to high traffic and free article directories. I have a question, how often do you submit articles?
As what i have read in other forums, its just okay to submit many articles to article directories, just be sure not to put that article to your site coz that might cause as suplemental result and possible bad impact to your site..Would google view these links as duplicate content or spam, and will the article links have a positive effect over time?

I previously had only submitted a couple of articles to high PR sites.
This is the first time I have used a paid service & submitted 100 articles in one hit.
I was hoping that google would pick up on the back links as they gradually spread across the various article directories.
I haven't added the article directly to my own site

Submitting the same article to article directories can hurt you in the long run...Google won't count the backlinks from duplicate content...I've submitted some articles to free submission directories, but the most important place to put articles is on your site...it will bring you traffic. I always post articles on my site first, wait for them to be indexed and then submit them to no more than 10 article directories.
The purpose of your article should not be to get links for the article directories, but to provide quality information that other people want to link to. That's the best way to get quality one way links...

article submissions
Hi there, I only just recently trialed an article submission site to distribute 2 articles. I didnt get many approvals, abit of a waste of time. And yes the article quality is excellent. I have far better results doing it manually. It takes a while to find good reliable sites to submit to. I have 11 sites I submit to that all approve my work because they know me and I know when I submit, Im not wasting my time.
